THE much anticipated semi-final clash between Azlan Iskandar and Ong Beng Hee in the Malaysian Open became a reality but not before a struggle by the duo in the quarter-finals at the National Squash Centre in Bukit Jalil yesterday. A lapse in concentration in the third game saw Azlan, top seed and defending champion, being stretched to four games by Mark Heather of England before the Malaysian secured a 11-6, 11-3, 10-10 (2-4), 11-9 win in 47 minutes. Beng Hee was also pushed to the limit by Ritwik Bhattacharya of India before winning 11-8, 11-8, 10-11 (1-3), 11-5 in 54 minutes. Azlan had only himself …
