AEON credit card makes debut in Malaysia.

AEON Credit Service (M) Sdn Bhd (AEON Credit Malaysia), the first non-financial institution to issue credit cards here, is aiming to attract over 700,000 cardmembers by its financial year ending February 2009.

For the first four months of its launching, AEON Credit Malaysia expects to rope in 100,000 cardmembers, targeting initially its current 400,000 easy payment and personal financing customers.

AEON managing director Naruhito Kuroda said the credit card business is expected to start contributing to the company's revenue by the third year of launching.
