Nov. 19--A statewide leadership development program similar to Leadership Metro Richmond has graduated its first class.

Thirty-nine business, government and civic leaders finished the inaugural Lead Virginia program yesterday after an eight-month series of meetings in seven regions of the state.

The program ended with a two-day session in Richmond this week, which included visits to the Federal Reserve Bank, Virginia Commonwealth University, a tour of downtown, and discussions with local business, education and civic leaders about problems and opportunities in the Richmond area.
