FLY-FISHING A BOOK arrived for me in Monday's post. It was a 20th century Random House re-edition of the angling classic, The Compleat Angler, by Izaak Walton, first published in 1653. Like the treasure it is, it arrived in a small, overinsured parcel, and unexpectedly. It was sent to me by Margaret Vorster, the artist who lives and works at Ruigtevlei near Sedgefield, where she found it in a second-hand bookshop. (Margaret has great regard for the found object.)
