The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC) employees at Tando Alam gas field on Tuesday staged a sit-in at the field against handing over of its operation to British Petroleum (BP), a foreign oil and gas exploration company, for several hours.

The angry employees denounced the decision of their top level management, saying that handing over of Tando Alam field, that produces 50 percent of its total oil production, would not be allowed to foreign exploration company at any cost.
