German bank KfW has released Sh400 million as part of Sh6 billion it has set aside for the rehabilitation and expansion of Nzoia Water Services Company (Nzowasco).

The company's chief executive, Mr Romano Wachiye, told journalists in Bungoma yesterday that the work involved installing pumps and improving the sewerage. It will begin in January.

Some Sh150 million will be spent in Kitale, Sh135 million in Bungoma, Sh50 million in Webuye and Sh7 million in Kimilili.
