Two months after a trio of hurricanes blitzed the Gulf Coast, the combined wallop continues to bruise the top line of companies like Laboratory Corp. of America.
In a recent conference call, Lab Corp. Chief Executive Thomas MacMahon said hurricanes lowered his firm's third-quarter revenue by around $7 million.
That sounds like pocket change, considering that Lab Corp. posted $853 million in third-quarter sales. Still, the impact is expected to linger for at least another quarter.
