Nov. 9--LAVALLETTE -- Before this one-school district searches for a new superintendent, they're searching for someone to hold down the fort for a while.

The district has disseminated a job posting for a superintendent through the New Jersey School Boards Association and other state education agencies.

The advertisement with the School Boards Association said the district plans to start interviewing for the position around Dec. 1.

Patricia Christopher, Lavallette's school business administrator, said the district cannot permanently replace current Superintendent John A. Ravally before his last day on Dec. 23.
