Nov. 8--ESCONDIDO ---- The Classical Academy is moving closer to opening a third charter school in North County, this time a high school in Escondido.
A public hearing on the proposed charter high school is scheduled for the Escondido Union High School District's next board meeting on Nov. 15, a district official said. Trustees could vote on whether to approve the new charter school at that meeting, the official said.
In mid-October, officials at the K-8 academy turned in a petition signed by 437 parents, asking the district to approve the charter high school, said Cameron Curry, director of business services and co-founder of the academy.…
