Nov. 7--Thai golf star Thongchai Jaidee's shoemaker is spending 200 million baht at its plant in Ayutthaya this month to expand exports and become more competitive in the six-billion-baht brown shoe market at home.
The Danish shoemaker Ecco hopes the new facility will expand its production capacity so it can take advantage of the free trade agreement Thailand has signed with Australia and the upcoming FTA pact with Japan.
