Nov. 3--American International Assurance (AIA), the country's largest life insurer, has set its sights on achieving four million policies next month, to get even further ahead of the second player which signed up 2.7 million policyholders.

"We celebrated three million in-force policies two years and half ago, and we need just 77,839 new policies to achieve four million policies," said Sutti Rajitrangson, senior vice-president for administration.

As of October 30 this year, AIA has signed up a total of 3,922,161 in-force ordinary polices. If the average 2,300 new policies the company underwrites each day is taken into ...
