Nov. 3--Three months ago, Vinij Lertratanachai, a disc jockey-turned-businessman, approached Thai AirAsia executives with the idea of launching an in-flight magazine for the budget carrier.

Instead, the discussions went in a different direction -- Mr Vinij, through his new company Max Maker Co, is now the exclusive agency to handle onboard advertising placements for the airline.

He said the company had already concluded business deals with two customers, Scotch, the maker of ready-to-drink bird's nests beverages and chicken essence and Solartron, a listed company that produces solar modules.
