SEOUL, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - South Korea's gain in consumer prices slowed in October, mainly due to a fall in prices of agricultural products, a government report showed Tuesday.
Consumer prices in Asia's fourth-largest economy rose 2.5 percent in October from a year earlier, slowing from a 2.7-percent annual gain the previous month, according to the report by the National Statistical Office.
The October annual gain was also lower than a median forecast of 2.9 per cent in a poll by Yonhap Infomax, the financial news arm of Yonhap News Agency.
The benign inflation data came ahead of a central bank meeting next week to review interest rates.
