Oct. 29--STOCKTON -- With less than a day of deliberations, jurors found Michael Simons of Livermore guilty of killing his 17-year-old estranged wife, Jenna Nannetti.
Friday's verdict in a San Joaquin County courtroom came two days after the third anniversary of a fisherman's discovery of her body in a field west of Stockton. She had been missing from her Livermore home since Oct. 6, 2002.
Simons, 23, was found guilty of first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon and arson. The seven-man, five-woman jury also found three of two special circumstances surrounding the murder to be true -- that Simons laid in wait, and that he personally fired the …
