BELMONT, N.Y. _ Time was running out Saturday for jockey Jerry Bailey.
After failing to win aboard six of his previous mounts here at Belmont Park in the $14 million Breeders' Cup, Bailey had one last shot, aboard the favored Saint Liam in the $4 million Classic, to go out a winner.
The colt was facing 13 tough opponents and breaking from the No. 13 post _ not exactly lucky numbers _ but as he has throughout his Hall of Fame career and as he had done in four previous Classics, Bailey wouldn't be denied.
