As part of its "Healthy Minds, Healthy Lives" campaign to improve public awareness of mental health issues, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) in August and September conducted an effort on college mental health issues and treatment options. Early this year, the past president of the APA, Michelle B. Riba, M.D., established a Presidential Task Force on Mental Health on College Campuses in part to support psychiatrists working on campus.
