Oct. 22--STOCKTON -- Two witnesses at the murder trial of Michael Simons testified Thursday that in the months before the death of his wife, Jenna Nannetti, they heard Simons talk of harming her.

Daniel Bonacich, 27, a friend of Nannetti, said she and Simons seemed happy at first, but started having problems shortly after their wedding in 2002. He remembered an outing to Granada Bowl in Livermore with his then-girlfriend Jamie Rashe and Nannetti. Simons showed up to talk to Nannetti, and the two soon were arguing, he said.

"He raised his voice enough for me to hear him say, 'I'm going to kill you,' " Bonacich said. He also said he …
