Oct. 22--CLASS-ACTION SUIT FILED AGAINST PIXAR: Emeryville-based Pixar (PIXR) has been named in a class-action lawsuit filed by New York law firm Milberg Weiss Bershad & Schulman on behalf of shareholders.

The suit claims Pixar and Disney provided misleading information about expected revenue from its productions, including the animated film, "The Incredibles."

According to the complaint, the companies said sales of "The Incredibles" home videos and DVDs would boost Pixar's earnings by at least 15 cents per share by the second fiscal quarter of 2005, despite their knowledge of a sales decline in the home video market.
