Stories about bird flu seem to be spreading through the world's media almost as fast as the virus itself is travelling across the globe.

Hardly a day goes by without more dire warnings that countless millions of people will succumb if a serious outbreak takes hold.

Yesterday, the UAE also banned bird imports from Greece.

With interest at fever pitch, it makes you wonder if exaggerated fears are being spread about the virus.

Gulf News took to the streets to test the knowledge levels of Dubai residents about bird flu.
