Bank Negara, Bank of Korea renew pact.

BANK Negara Malaysia has renewed its bilateral swap arrangement agreement with the Bank of Korea for another three years.

The two-way swap arrangement (BSA) between the two central banks comes under the Chiang Mai Initiative. The previous agreement was signed on July 26 2002.

In a statement on its website, Bank Negara said the swap size of the arrangement has been increased from US$1 billion (US$1 = RM3.77) to US$1.5 billion. The initial amount that can be …
