Section: Regional News - Vietnamese Deputy Trade Minister Phan The Rue and his New Zealand counterpart John McKinnon have signed an agreement on the establishment of the Vietnam-New Zealand Joint Economic Committee in Wellington, New Zealand.

At its first session, held in New Zealand's capital from Oct. 10-12, the two sides exchanged views on bilateral cooperation in politics, commerce, investment, development assistance, finance, and education and training.
