Vietnam: Ho Chi Minh City to focus on luxury goods.

Section: Regional News - Ho Chi Minh City will concentrate more investment in developing production of luxury goods and services, said Communist Party Politburo member and HCM City Party Committee secretary Nguyen Minh Triet.
At a conference last Friday, Triet also suggested other measures needed for HCM City, including application of high technology to agricultural production and better urban planning.
Triet said that successful implementation of these measures in the remainder of the year would enable the city to fulfill annual socio-economic targets as well as goals set in the 2001-05 plan.
