The former Secretary-General of the Nigeria Football Association (NFA), Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi has expressed sadness over the failure of the Super Eagles to qualify for the 2006 World Cup finals in Germany.

Chief Ogunjobi, who was dismissed from office at the crucial time that Nigeria bungled the World Cup qualification to Angola, looked every bit a man that felt sorry that a crop of players like Obafemi Martins, who he placated to play for the team, Ayodele Makinwa, Chidi Odiah, Yusuf Ayila, to mention a few, would not have the chance to showcase their talents at Germany 2006.
