Some 6000 people visited this year's Aberdeen Treefest at the centrally- located Duthie Park making it the most successful such event yet. Over 40 exhibitors showed off a wide range of hands-on activities, demonstrations, wooden crafts and bespoke furniture making to locally raise the profile of the forest industry and its many facets.

The North East Forest Education Initiative was particularly popular with their `Wooden Olympics' event, whilst children/adults also queued up to use a harvester and a forwarder simulator.
