Montana MTA will hold its state conference November 3-5, 2005, in Billings, Montana, in conjunction with its MTNA Competitions. Timothy Schmidt, NCTM, from Waldorf College, Forest City, Iowa, will be the featured clinician and recitalist. Schmidt is a baroque specialist and will present sessions on ,ornamentation in baroque music, performance anxiety and improvisational skills for beginning and intermediate students. Schmidt will present a recital entitled "Five Centuries of Baroque Music," on his own harpsichord.
