Sir - I refer to your articles concerning what David Quinn called the "fuss on contraceptives" and his suggestion that "the Mater has involved itself in a fight it could easily have avoided" and might find some face-saving way to back down.
David obviously sees the problem as simply a crisis of conscience. It certainly is a conscience issue for believers, but it's not just that. It is also a woman's health issue and one that caring people of all faiths and of none do not take as lightly as Mr Quinn.
