The Anglican church has warned leaders against turning the referendum campaigns into a political contest.

The head of the church Archbishop Benjamin Nzimbi in a statement issued yesterday called for tolerance, restraint, and co-existence. Nzimbi called for unity during the civic education and campaigns. He said the real issues have been ignored.
