Oct. 7--The Transport Ministry is revising down its megaproject budget to 200 billion baht from 300 billion baht, according to Kumropluk Suraswadi, the ministry's deputy permanent secretary.
As well, he said, the ministry planned to move Bangkok's planned transport terminals farther out to the north and south of the city to reduce costs.
He said the government would spend 40 billion baht a year out of the regular budget on the development of seven transport routes intended to be worth a total of 500 billion baht. The projects are scheduled to be completed within five years.
