Oct. 7--Plans for two of the country's leading television producers to acquire stakes in SET-listed iTV Plc are likely to be aborted.
In late 2003, Kantana Group Plc and Traiphop Limpraphat, a veteran TV host, announced plans for each party to invest 1.5 billion baht for a 10 percent stake in iTV. The announcement raised eyebrows among industry executives and analysts who questioned whether either investor had enough money to complete the deal.
However, with this month being the deadline, the investors have not shown any strong interest in pursuing the deal.
