Cabinet minister Raila Odinga has dropped his demand for a prime minister's post in the new constitution, 10 Liberal Democratic Party MPs revealed yesterday.
The 10 - who included Mr Odinga's brother, Dr Oburu Oginga, also announced they were seeking talks with the National Alliance Party of Kenya (NAK), the other main faction in the ruling National Rainbow Coalition.
They wanted to reach out to NAK to celebrate tomorrow's Madaraka Day, "in a new spirit of reconciliation and jubilation, at peace with ourselves and our country".
