'Mother India' loses favourite son Sunil Dutt.

MUMBAI: Veteran actor and Union sports and youth affairs minister Sunil Dutt passed away in his sleep at his Bandra residence on Wednesday morning. Dutt, days away from his 76th birthday on June 6, suffered a heart attack.

Dutt, who was usually up at 7 am, was not disturbed when he did not wake up on time as he had been running a fever for the last few days, said family sources. It was only at 11 am when he had still not woken up that the family realised something was wrong and called the family physician who declared him dead. Dutt has one son, film actor Sanjay Dutt, and two daughters, Priya and Namrata.
