Oct. 6--The country's first shopping centre for travel services is taking shape with plans to rent out 250 retail spaces to tourism business operators, particularly those that lack representative offices in Bangkok.

The Thailand Travel Center will encompass 5,000 square metres on the second and third floors of Pratunam Center in Bangkok's Pratunam district.

Operations are expected to begin on Oct 21, said Samai Chuicharoen, managing director of TTC Tourist Port Center, the partner in the venture.
