Oct. 6--The Stock Exchange of Thailand could hit a high above 800 points next year depending on the political situation and an influx of foreign funds, leading analysts and fund managers say.
The SET Index, which ended yesterday at 717.17 points, could rise above 800 points if the political environment remains conducive, Tisco Securities said.
Viwat Techapoonpol, senior vice-president and head of brokerage private sales at Tisco, said yesterday that there might be some outflows this month ahead of the subscriptions to two large initial public offerings, which could cause short-term pressure on the market.
