Chinese banks and financial institutions are putting a premium on storage networking solutions to strengthen their data consolidation and cope with intensifying competition.
According to Paul Rath, vice-president of US storage networking vendor McDATA's Asia Pacific operations, Chinese banks and financial institutions are facing a big challenge in data consolidation and risk recovery.
"A number of Chinese banks are asking us for storage networking solutions," he said.
Storage networking solutions are crucial to banks which are aggregating storage from a number of networks within their organizations.
