Panchkula, Oct 4 (PTI) Expressing his government's commitment to make Haryana a model state in next five years, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said suggestions regarding implementation of centrally-sponsored development programmes in the state.

Suggestions on central schemes, including Rajiv Gandhi Rural Electrification Programme and extension of Delhi Metro Rail from Gurgaon to Bhadurgarh and Faridabad in Haryana, would be made at the conclave and it would be taken up with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, he told reporters after paying obeisance at Sri Mata Mansa Devi shrine here.

The road network in the state needs to be strengthened and more funds have been allocated for repair and construction work, he added.
