Hanoi, 3 October: Vietnam registered a gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate of about 8.1 per cent in the first nine months of this year, against the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office.

This was equivalent to about 277,870bn VND, including 223,728bn VND recorded by the industrial, construction and service sectors.
