Oct. 4--Market regulators plan to encourage Thai-Vietnamese joint ventures to seek cross-listings on the Stock Exchange of Thailand and the Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Centre (HoSTC) in the near future.
The SET yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding with the HoSTC to further extend technological support, including trading system maintenance, for another five years after the existing one made in July 2000 expires by the end of this year.
Kittiratt Na Ranong, the SET president, said the Thai market aimed to widen business opportunities for both exchanges.
