Oct. 4--PTT Plc plans another option to transport gas by liquefying and then delivering it by truck or rail to better deliver the increasingly popular fuel to its filling facilities.

The state-owned oil-and-gas conglomerate currently ships gas through a pipeline network from a gas-separation plant in Rayong to petrol stations in Bangkok.

PTT president Prasert Bunsumpun said the company was investing about 1.9 billion baht to transform the fuel into liquefied natural gas (LNG) at PTT's small-scale LNG plant in Rayong, with an initial production of 240 million litres per year.
