IT'S A good way to get new textmates.
After declaring last week that Luzon was "jueteng"-free, the Philippine National Police was swamped with text messages all saying the same thing-contrary to its claims, jueteng operations apparently still persist in Luzon.
Of course, the text messages needed to be verified, a top police official said yesterday.
But from May 29 to 30, the PNP's Text 2920 received 57 text messages on jueteng, and from May 30 to 31, another 20 messages.
