According to AL-Hayat newspaper (May 31, 2005), recently executed technical studies by some of the European expertise houses reveal a decrease in the available fish resources in some of the Moroccan coasts. The studies related this fish resource withdrawal to the non environmentally-friendly fishing methods practiced by the Spanish boats and which are aimed at maximizing the fishing amounts.
