SAVE for a minor mishap, the presentation on Tuesday of the 24 official Miss Philippines-Earth 2005 candidates at the Carousel Gardens in Mandaluyong City went smoothly.

University of Santo Tomas coed Olivia Amor Cortes, 20, tripped and fell on her knees. But she quickly regained composure.

Cortes, 5'5" and a Tourism student, told Inquirer Entertainment later: "When I fell, all I could think of was that I should get up, mag-project and smile."

She was rewarded with applause.
