BEING chosen to emcee Nickelodeon Channel's Kids' Choice Awards for the Philippines is a validation of Bettinna Carlos' decision to slow down on her acting career and pursue her original dream of becoming a good television host.

KCA is a much-awaited event for Nickelodeon viewers in and out of its base in the United States. Two years ago in the US version, Mike Myers and Cameron Diaz hosted the awarding rites for kids' Favorite TV Show, TV Actor, TV Actress, Cartoon, Book and Video Game, among others. Cameron won Best Burp in 2002, beating co-nominee Justin Timberlake, who became her boyfriend.
