Section: Stocks - Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) president Kittiratt Na Ranong is optimistic the average daily trading volume on the bourse this year will increase by 8 per cent on last year to Bt22 billion as expected, The Nation reports.

The main factors in the SET's growth are the significant number of newly listed companies and the prevailing economic strength, he said.

Kittiratt also forecast that approximately 100 of the 230 companies that had expressed interest in being listed this year would go public. The companies preparing to go public include the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, TOT Corp Plc, …
