LIFE begins at 40, or so they say. But not for Norman Tu[currency]gol, who would have turned 40 next week.
Tu[currency]gol, chief geologist of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, was to celebrate his and his mother's birthday, and the fiesta in Floridablanca, Pampanga, on Thursday.
"May was important for us. We had a lot to celebrate," his wife Malou said yesterday.
Tu[currency]gol was to leave with Malou, their four daughters (Ayen, 12; Aly, 10; Ava, 7; and Alexi, 3) and his parents tomorrow. As it turned out, he left them altogether. He was one of the nine people killed last Thursday in the helicopter crash in Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija.
