Taipei, 27 April: President Chen Shui-bian will depart for a three-nation South Pacific state visit Sunday [1 May], the Presidential Office announced Wednesday.

The five-day diplomatic tour will take Chen to three of the Republic of China's [ROC] allies in the region - the Marshall Islands, Kiribati and Tuvalu via the US territory of Guam, Presidential Office Deputy Secretary-General James Huang said.
