Lanxess' Semi Crystalline Products Business Unit is spending EUR 20 M in new manufacturing facilities for high-tech engineering plastics at the Wuxi site. The plant, which will have a workforce of up to 100, will produce approximately 20,000 tons/y of high-tech engineering plastics once the first section is commissioned in 2006. Sales of its high-end polymers, Durethan and Pocan, are expected to rise by 50% in the next five years. Market growth for the polymers in Asia is presently at around 8% and …
