The Minister of Lands, Water and Environment Maj. Gen. Kahinda Otafiire, has ordered Kampala District Land Board's registrar of titles to halt the controversial reallocation of a plot belonging to the National Social Security Fund.

The plot M4 off Shimon Road was recently reallocated to NK Limited, which is linked to a senior cabinet minister with close links to State House, after the NSSF lease expired last December.

In a letter addressed to the Secretary of the Land Board on April 2, Otafiire said the land can only be transferred to another party if NSSF sells off its interests. …
