New Delhi, May 28 (PTI) Government on Saturday hinted that setting up of a 6th pay commission for government employees may prove to be ''very costly'', that too at a time when finances of many states were in difficult situations.

This was conveyed to the all India-level federations and unions of goverment employees in various ministries by Cabinet Secretary B K Chaturvedi, official sources told PTI.

Constitution of next pay commission will be very costly for government, Chaturvedi is understood to have told the 44th meeting of the National Council, which is an apex body of a joint constultative machinery for discussions …
