Section: Regional News - The bravery and undaunted spirit displayed by Vietnamese volunteer soldiers, who joined the Soviet Union's Red army and sacrificed their lives in the fight against Nazis on the outskirts of Moscow, will be never forgotten in the minds of the people of the former Soviet Union.

In the most critical moment of the war against Nazism, a number of military units were established to defend Moscow. Among them was an international special regiment, which was set up in August 1941. Five Vietnamese joined Spanish, Czechoslovakian, Polish, and Bulgarian soldiers to form the regiment.
