The Mekong Delta of Vietnam will spend $92 million on an ambitious program to train abroad approximately 1,000 technicians who graduated from post-university education.

The "Mekong 1,000" program is financed by 13 provinces in the region and some international organizations, aiming to meet the increasing demand for high-qualified cadres of the region.

Those selected to participate in the program are expected to specialize in major sectors such as Mechanical Engineering, IT, Manufacturing, Construction, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Urban Design, Finance, Commerce and Banking.
